Large Predators in the Kalkalpen National Park

Bears, lynx, wolves, and golden eagles—what traces have these large predators left behind in the Kalkalpen National Park, and what role do they play today?

National Park researcher Christian Fuxjäger has been studying these fascinating animals for many years and offers insights into their way of life and evolution within the National Park. This reveals just how different the stories of the four species are: While bears were still a regular sight in the area when the national park was founded but have since disappeared, the lynx has returned to the protected area. There has been little evidence of wolves so far.
