Biographical Hubertus Mayr

Born in Upper Austria. First experiences with gypsum sculptures at a friend's house, who later became a professor of art history. From 1985, initial attempts with stones at a friend's place in the Waldviertel. Starting in 2000, training courses in sculpture with Lioba Leibl, Munich. University education in museum pedagogy with a thesis on the topic: "Space in Art." Intensive engagement with questions of art. First own exhibitions.

Public commissions followed:

• Urn grave site for stillborn children, city cemetery Linz,
• Stone/glass fountain in front of the SPES Educational Academy in Schlierbach / Upper Austria.
• Ball climbing tree in front of the Pfarrcaritas Kindergarten Pfarrkirchen / Bad Hall.
• Monument for the Swiss saint Nicholas of Flue, Vienna 2, on the occasion of Euro 2008.
• Glass sculpture "Updraft" in the Raiffeisenbank Bad Hall / Upper Austria.
• Grave sites in Pfarrkirchen / Hall, Linz, and Salzburg,
• Urn grave site Seewalchen.
• Exhibition grave stone transformations at the educational center Schloss Puchberg in connection with the Lenten sermons.
• Participation in the open studio days in Upper Austria.
• Gravestone for Susanne Zach in Leibnitz.
