The Hohe Dirn (1,134 m) rises above the Ennstal and connects the municipalities of Losenstein, Reichraming, and Ternberg to a common vantage point in the Upper Austrian Prealps. Due to its moderate height and good accessibility, it is also attractive for families and leisurely hikers.
As a hiking area, it offers a wide selection: from short walks starting at the parking lot to scenic round tours or paths through the Klausgraben. The well-maintained routes are mostly accessible year-round – even in winter, the mountain reveals its special tranquility with clear air and broad views and also invites to tobogganing.
Slightly above the summit lies the year-round open Anton-Schosser-Hütte at 1,158 meters. Homemade, regional delicacies and a sunny terrace with panoramic views make it a popular resting place for day visitors and families.
A special feature is the Star Park Hohe Dirn: The clear, dark mountain night creates ideal conditions for astronomical observations and makes the mountain interesting for star enthusiasts as well.
