The view from the webcam shows from the panoramic lift to the district of Tabor in the direction of Michaeler Church, the town square, and the Gothic parish church.
The Tabor Panorama Lift – valley station is a modern attraction in Steyr that has connected the historic old town with the Tabor district since 2020. The lift is located at Michaelerplatz and ascends through a former air raid shelter from World War II to the observation platform at Tabor.
Upon arrival at the top, one reaches the Tabor Panorama Lift – mountain station. The glass lift overcomes about 35–36 meters of elevation and offers an impressive view of the old town of Steyr during the ride. From the observation platform, there is a wide view over the confluence of the Enns and Steyr rivers, the historic city center, and the mountains of the Kalkalpen National Park.
The Panorama Lift is free of charge, open 24 hours, and accessible for people with disabilities. It accommodates up to 25 persons and two bicycles, making it both a practical means of transportation and a popular tourist attraction.
