The strawberries are picked in no time. You know exactly where the fruit comes from, enjoy short transport distances, and have a guarantee of absolute freshness.

At the strawberry farms, you can pick your own strawberries from around late May through early July. Our strawberry farms are located in the Traunviertel, Innviertel, and Salzkammergut regions.
The Basics of Strawberry Picking

• It’s best to get to the strawberry fields on foot or by bike.

• Take your time and enjoy nature.

• The best time to pick is in the morning, since the strawberries ripen overnight.

• Don’t use containers that are too tall. Woven baskets or wooden wicker baskets are ideal.

• Go to the checkout and have your empty basket weighed.

• Head to the back third of the field—that’s where the best berries grow.

• Enjoy the sweet, authentic flavor of the sun-ripened fruit.

• Be sure to pick the strawberry with the calyx attached; otherwise, the juice will run out.

• Smaller berries often have a better flavor.

• After picking, go to the checkout, have the strawberries weighed, and pay.
