World Shop Steyr

Fair Trade. Strengthening diversity.

The World Shop Steyr is operated by the association ARGE EINE WELT!

Since 1980, the working group Eine Welt has been operating the World Shop Steyr. By selling fair-traded goods, we want to contribute to more justice in trade relations between the North and South. We also organize educational and cultural events on this topic. The ARGE EINE WELT is a non-profit association that is politically independent and interdenominational. Our working group, which currently has about 40 members, has also become a circle of friends. We meet regularly, keep ourselves informed, continue our education, and take care of organizational matters.

THOSE WHO WANT TO GET INVOLVED WITH US FOR FAIR TRADE ARE WARMLY INVITED

The World Shop Steyr is a climate alliance business

In 1980, the World Shop was founded in Steyr by the association Arge Eine Welt. At that time, the focus for us was on improving the living conditions of people in the South through fair wages and prices. At that time, the aspect of climate protection was not yet an issue. Over the course of the development of fair trade and the World Shop, it became increasingly clear that the protection of people, the environment, and the climate must be a unity. By joining the climate alliance, the World Shop Steyr aims to ensure that the idea of climate protection is consistently realized from producers to consumers. As a climate alliance business, we want to promote this idea to other businesses and our customers.
