The “Zur Blauen Kugel” inn was originally located at the corner of Wieserfeldplatz 2 and Gleinkergasse 25. For decades, it served as the rehearsal space for the “Steyrer Männergesangsverein Sängerlust” men’s choir. When the inn had to make way for a new Raiffeisenkasse building in 1978, arrangements were made at the time to have the inn’s sign installed at the new rehearsal space, the “Schwechaterhof.” The wrought-iron sign, which is over 100 years old, will now be unveiled during a concert following its renovation.
