On Sunday, September 27, 2026, the Austria-wide Heritage Day, with the theme “Heritage: Value for Everyone,” invites visitors to rediscover historic sites.
The Steyr City Museum is opening its doors with free admission and offering fascinating insights into history, crafts, and historic preservation.
From 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., traditional crafts will come to life during a blacksmithing demonstration at the historic smithy.
At 11 a.m., a guided tour of the Innerberger Stadel will begin, focusing on the history of the house and the building’s restoration.
Heritage Day offers a special opportunity to experience history right where it took place—on-site, authentically, and accessible to all generations. In addition, numerous other events in Steyr on this day invite visitors to discover the city’s historical diversity.
