Mountain Pine Festival in Brunnental on October 26, 2026!

Do you need mountain pines (Pinus mugo) and want to pick them yourself from the (Kas-)Berg while enjoying traditional delicacies and good company in the Brunnental Valley? Then we look forward to seeing you there! You can take the bus to the Ahornalm; from there, it’s about a 15-minute hike to the Steyrerhütte and another 15 minutes to the “Kasbermulde.”

Admission is free—the round-trip bus ride up the mountain costs €15.00, which includes a €3.00 voucher redeemable at the Mangstlhof in the Brunnental (delicacies and a drink).

First bus up at 9:00 a.m., last bus up at 1:30 p.m., last bus down at 3:30 p.m.

Sturdy footwear is required for the hike up the Kasberg. Not well-suited for people with mobility impairments.

Hiking boots are also available from the pasture cooperative for a donation!

Directions: From the B138, turn toward Steyrling, drive through the town of Steyrling, and after about 4 km, you’ll reach your destination in Brunnental.
