When the scent of fir branches wafts through the alleyways and lights illuminate historic facades, a special time begins in 360° Alpenland. Advent concerts here combine music, architecture and living tradition to create quiet, impressive moments.
In the 1,000-year-old town of Steyr - at the confluence of the Steyr and Enns rivers - churches, courtyards and the historic town square become a stage for choral music, brass ensembles and classical Advent music. Between town houses from different stylistic periods, a sound space unfolds that makes history audible. In Kirchdorf an der Krems and around Schlierbach Abbey, too, an atmosphere is created in which music and sacred architecture support each other. Bad Hall combines its long tradition of healing springs with a fine cultural programme of concerts and musical evenings. And in the south of the region, where customs and alpine history are deeply rooted, Advent is organised musically - supported by regional choirs, brass bands and genuine craft culture.

Yes – Steyr is a key venue during the run-up to Christmas. Advent concerts are held in the churches in Steyr and Christkindl, as well as at the Stadttheater, the Altes Theater, the AKKU Cultural Centre and the Kulturhaus Röda. The Advent brass band gives short concerts every day on the Town Hall balcony. As part of “Das Ö3 Weihnachtswunder”, there are daily concerts between 1.00 pm and 9.00 pm.
The theatres in Steyr and Bad Hall are heated. The churches are kept at a comfortable temperature during concerts and masses (warm winter clothing is recommended).
