Respect nature and enjoy the winter
-----------------------------------

### For mindful and sustainable cooperation in winter sports

Between the mountains between Pyhrn and Priel and the tranquil forests of the Kalkalpen National Park, **winter** is both **powerful and sensitive** at the same time. If you are travelling here on [snowshoes](https://www.360alpenland.com/en/snowshoeing.html), [touring skis](https://www.360alpenland.com/en/winter-off-the-piste/ski-tours.html) or on [foot](https://www.360alpenland.com/en/winter-hiking.html), you will find yourself in beautiful landscapes that are also **home to wildlife**. Respect nature by staying on the marked trails and not leaving any rubbish behind. Use public transport or carpool to protect the environment. Respect the wildlife and avoid unnecessary noise. This way, the winter landscape in the heart of Upper Austria remains a **place of tranquillity** - for animals, for people and for future generations. Fair play in nature starts with you.

[ Show respect for nature and avoid noise ](#ttgNCECollapse465025)
---------------------------------------------------------------------

It is important to respect nature and avoid noise. Enjoy the peace and beauty of the winter landscape without disturbing the wildlife. Make sure to be quiet, especially in the early morning hours and in the evening when many animals are active. By reducing noise, you help to preserve the natural environment and promote a harmonious coexistence between people and nature. Respect nature and experience unforgettable moments in the silence of the **winter landscape**.

[ Start with careful tour planning ](#ttgNCECollapse465026)
--------------------------------------------------------------

Check weather and avalanche reports and act accordingly. Find out about the dangers in the (alpine) terrain on the websites of the alpine clubs.
Find out about parking facilities on site in advance.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The standard equipment for ski and snowshoe tours in alpine terrain includes an avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe and a fully charged mobile phone.

[ Stay on designated winter and ski touring routes ](#ttgNCECollapse465028)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stay on the winter and ski touring routes shown on official maps.

**Please note:** entering and travelling on young forest areas up to a height of 3m is prohibited.

[ Be considerate of wild animals and avoid their feeding grounds ](#ttgNCECollapse465029)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Take special care of wild animals and avoid their feeding grounds.

When enjoying the outdoors in winter, remember that you are not alone. Wild animals depend on peace and quiet and undisturbed feeding sites to survive the cold season. Make sure you respect their habitats and keep your distance from feeding sites. By staying on the marked paths and avoiding noise, you help to ensure that the animals are not disturbed. In this way, we can all experience the beauty of nature together and protect wildlife at the same time.

[ Take your rubbish back home with you ](#ttgNCECollapse465030)
------------------------------------------------------------------

Take your rubbish back home in your rucksack.

If you enjoy the beautiful nature, remember to take your rubbish home in your rucksack. Each of us can make a contribution to environmental protection by not leaving our waste behind in nature. This keeps the landscape clean and unspoilt for all those who come after us. Pack up your rubbish and dispose of it properly at home. Together we can ensure a clean and sustainable environment!

[ Show consideration for other recreational athletes ](#ttgNCECollapse465031)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Whether you're out and about on skis, a snowboard, touring skis, on foot and much more - consideration is the be-all and end-all for harmonious coexistence in the wintry outdoors. Make sure you keep enough distance from others and respect their movements. Wait patiently if someone is slower and only overtake if it is safe to do so. A friendly smile or a quick "hello" can work wonders and lighten the mood. Together we make sure that everyone can enjoy the beauty of the snowy landscape.
