Since 2017, the Gleinkersee has been dominated by fly fishing. Only two fishing licenses are sold per day (including rowing boat). The Gleinkersee (approx. 15 ha) is a wonderfully situated pre-alpine lake close to Windischgarsten and is home to large pike, roach, aitel and carp. Fly fishing is possible from 1 June to 31 December. Fishing in Upper Austria is to be carried out in accordance with the provisions of provincial law; changes or possible restrictions are reserved for the managers of the individual waters.
