The seven cycle pilgrimage routes --------------------------------- Seven tours lead in a star shape from [**Weyer**](https://www.360alpenland.com/en/weyer.html) or [**Gaflenz**](https://www.360alpenland.com/en/gaflenz.html) through the multifaceted landscape between Upper and Lower Austria. You cycle on cycle paths, quiet side roads and well-developed goods roads in the 360° Alpine region. [ How long are the cycle routes? ](#ttgNCECollapse447668) ------------------------------------------------------------ The cycle routes are available in **two versions:** The **shorter ones are around 35-40 kilometres long** and the **longer ones from around 55 to 70 kilometres**. The routes are mainly on cycle paths, minor roads with little traffic and well-maintained goods roads in the 360° Alpine region. The route lengths and altitude metres are designed so that the day tours are easily manageable with e-bikes. Mountain bikes are not required; good trekking bikes are also suitable. Trained riders can also manage the routes without a motor. [ What is behind the name "Sebaldustour"? ](#ttgNCECollapse447670) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- **St Sebald of Nuremberg on the Heiligenstein** ----------------------------------------------- #### The namesake of the Sebaldus Tour According to legend, Sebald was a miracle-working hermit who found his way to the Heiligenstein on his pilgrimage from Rome to Nuremberg, where he lived in his cave for 15 years. His canonisation in 1425 led to a strong upswing in pilgrimage. The chapel built in his honour in 1413 was converted into a church around 1470. People also like to visit the chapel behind the church and the rock niche with the stone figure of St Sebald. People pray here for a good partnership or protection and blessing for their families.
