A culinary tour with the Steyr Night Watchmen—from the highest tower to the deepest cellar!

Embark on a journey back in time with this extraordinary Night Watchmen Dine-Around.
On this special guided tour, you’ll experience a culinary journey to surprise locations.

A night watchman in traditional costume, armed with a halberd and lantern, guides guests through the historic city center.

After a welcome with a glass of sparkling wine and the night watchman’s song “Alle meine liabn Herrn und Frauen, lasst Euch sagn…” at the Night Watchman Restaurant, you’ll climb the tower of the Stadtpfarrkirche. The climb is rewarded with a breathtaking view of Steyr’s Old Town.

Participants enjoy the appetizer at the Steyrer Kripperl duringa short performance of medieval craft scenes by Europe’s oldest active rod puppet theater.

The Steyrdorf soup is servedto the accompaniment of traditional Upper Austrian music in the atmospheric Michaelerkeller; this two-story vaulted cellar was once the wine cellar of St. Michael’s Church.

The tour comes to a cozy close at the Nachtwächter Restaurant with a main course and dessert.
