As part of the exhibition, patchwork artist Maria Reitspies will be carrying out a social project.
Individual pieces of fabric will be used to create blankets that symbolize cohesion, warmth and protection.
Visitors will not only have the opportunity to get to know patchwork, but also to actively participate by designing individual pieces of fabric that will then be sewn together.
At the end of the exhibition, the blankets will be donated to the women's shelter in Steyr to give women and children in difficult life situations a little bit of security and warmth.
