Whether it's a holiday on the farm, where you and your children enjoy plenty of freedom of movement, or a visit to the Holzknecht museum, where original Holzknechtnockerln are prepared on request. The municipal area of Reichraming - 10,224 hectares after all - is mostly covered by dense forests, which is why the timber industry has always been of great importance. Hiking through the gorges, one discovers the remains of wooden pylons and cloisters over which the wood was brought down to the valley. Until the early 1970s, a specially built narrow-gauge railway with numerous tunnels - through which you can still cycle today - brought the wood to the Enns. In summer, the transparent, clear water of the Reichramingbach invites you to swim and offers lots of fun, not only for little water rats. If you don't want to do that, you can take a horse-drawn carriage and a hearty snack along the Ramingbach into the Reichraminger Hintergebirge. For sports enthusiasts, an extensive network of cycling, hiking and bridle paths in the Reichraminger Hintergebirge and the Kalkalpen National Park offers tours of all levels of difficulty, so not only mountain bike fans but also families with children get their money's worth. The network of bridle paths has been built up and revitalised in recent years.
