A visit to Steinbach/Steyr inspires and enthuses. Steinbach an der Steyr in the Kalkalpen National Park region is an idyllic village on the steep slope to the Steyr in the middle Steyr Valley with a southern flair. The hanging gardens, the narrow, steep streets and the magnificent town houses in the historic centre are reminiscent of the flourishing knife trade with Venice in the Middle Ages, which brought prosperity to the village.
