Please note that an eye specialist must prescribe the therapies. The eye therapies are carried out with the prescription from the specialist. Medical specialist in the spa hotel Vitana & Physikarium: Dr. Katharina Rezanka (appointment by appointment, see opening hours) You did: * Degenerative changes of the ocular fundus (e.g. macular degeneration, secondary to high myopia) * Vitreous clouding * Vascular diseases of the eye (e.g. atherosclerosis, hypertension and diabetes mellitus) * tendon disorders * Cataract * compensated (!) chronic glaucoma * Chronic conjunctivitis and eyelid inflammation * "dry eye" sicca syndrome We bid: * Eye iontophoresis: With this therapy you "bathe" your eyes in special bowls in which the iodine brine solution is charged by means of a weak galvanic current. The iodine particles can thus become effective even in the depth of the eye. * Eye spraying: Special apparatuses spray dense iodine brine mist against the eye, causing the cornea and conjunctiva to absorb the ingredients. * Lipid eye spraying: This treatment for "dry eye" - also known as sicca syndrome - causes an accumulation of the fatty portion of the tear fluid. During lipid spraying, an oil-in-water emulsion containing important components of the natural tear film is applied in a fine spray to the front parts of the eye. We recommend that the lipid eye spraying is performed in combination with our basic therapy - eye iontophoresis. * Eye training Relaxed eyes see better - allow your eyes to relax from time to time. As with all other muscles, tension and relaxation do the eye muscles good. When working at a computer screen, reading or watching television, the eyes are directed relatively motionlessly at a small area - this means an enormous effort. Our eyes tend to stare and only rarely blink. This also leads to burning, reddened, dry eyes, because the eye surface (cornea) is no longer moistened with sufficient tear fluid. Balancing eye gymnastics trains your eyes and regenerates them in a natural way. You will learn how to perform the various exercises correctly under the expert guidance of our therapists. INFO "dry eye": Do you sit in front of the computer every day and then in front of the TV in the evening? Do you have the feeling that your eyes itch, burn, scratch or even water? All these can be symptoms of "dry eye". These symptoms can be triggered by environmental influences, dry room air, medication, hormones, rheumatic diseases, etc. The cause of dry eyes is usually not a lack of tear fluid, but a wrong composition of the tear fluid.
