The newly established National Park Hengstpaßhütte is right on the pass and is an ideal starting point for hiking and cycling in the Limestone Alps National Park. In winter, the area around the Hengstpaß has numerous opportunities for snowshoeing and backcountry skiing. The Hengstpaßhütte can be booked all year round for groups of 2 nights or more, and for 3 nights or more on public holidays and New Year's Eve. Cultivated pastures are accessible in the summer in a few minutes.
