The ruins of Losenstein Castle are very well suited for a family outing with children, as the castle grounds are relatively quick and easy to access and invite exploration, playing, and running around. The imagination of the children is sparked by the old walls, seating niches, hidden spots, and stories. Numerous seating areas as well as the large grassy castle courtyard with many shady old trees also provide a beautiful setting for a family picnic or a small campfire (a fire pit has been specially set up for this). On the information boards, which are distributed throughout the castle grounds, the information is also prepared in a child-friendly manner and invites reading aloud and self-reading about the former Losenstein knights. The Ennstal cycling path also runs through the village - making a detour to the castle a worthwhile addition. There are plenty of parking options at the foot of the castle mountain. From here, it only takes a few minutes to reach the castle at the top.
